So recently I popped along to my local STA Travel agency to the Oz Talk I had booked a place on a few weeks back.
I’m so glad I did!
We we’re greeted by some fun free food and drink (doritos + pinot = my kinda place!) and quickly settled in ready for the guest speakers to begin. A rep from G Adventures, Travellers Autobarn and Cool Dingo Tours gave us all the low down on their services and some handy tips to boot.
The chap from cool dingo even gave me my first taste of vegemite, as I successfully guessed the weight of one of the Humpback whales you can 
watch on his company’s tours around Fraser Island!
I was more than sold by the Island and hope to visit it’s sub-tropical sandy shores towards the end of my time in Aus, so watch this space!
I also walked away with this snazzy scratch map to record my trip on! Another correct quiz answer by my trivia-boss self.
Travellers auto-barn have some really cool and affordable offerings in the shape of converted cars and vans that you can sleep and cook in and everything, they even come with free insurance and you can do one way rentals too!
And G adventure’s sustainable, responsible but still excitement-packed tours sound fantastic too! Their ethos on doing something unique and actually exploring the roots of the country is definitely something I want to incorporate into my trip.
